Case Study: An Emergency Response Team Counts on Jessup Manufacturing’s Glo Brite ® 550 for Critical First Responder Identification

However, an emergency response team found a unique solution for marking their respirator masks with the help of Jessup Manufacturing's Glo Brite® 550 adhesive glow film.

The challenge was to recommend a material for a glow-in-the-dark decal that could depict the last name of the first responder and adhere to a curved, low surface energy clear plastic. The material also needed to be placed on the inside of the respirator so that the vinyl did not melt off in high heat.
Fellers, with the help of Jessup, was up for the challenge and provided the perfect solution: Jessup’s Glo Brite® 550 adhesive glow film for sub-surface mounting on glass and clear plastic. The film was exactly what the emergency response team needed, and the results were beyond their expectations. The decal is sub-surface mounted on the inside of the respirator mask, where it will glow brightly for a minimum of several hours and recharge an indefinite number of times.
This innovative remedy provides increased safety for first responders, who can now easily identify each other in low-visibility environments.
